What kind of privacy do you offer?
To ensure your child's information is viewed only by the people you want to see it, Babies Online provides access to your baby's web page in the following ways:
- Your baby's web page can be included in the public listing where you can show your baby off to everyone who visits our site
- We can include your baby's web page address only in the name search. This way, anyone connecting to Babies Online would need your baby's last name in order to find the birth announcement. Please note that if another baby shares your last name, your baby's web page address will appear in their name search as well.
- You can password protect your baby's web page so that only the friends and family you give your password to are able to view your baby's web page.
Privacy is very important and you should consider the availability of information you offer on the internet very carefully. Since you will be creating your own web page you can list as much, or as little, information that you choose. Please, however, consider the following:
- Babies Online recommends that you do not list your last name on the web page itself.
- Under no circumstances should you list your address or city and state
- IF ANYONE EVER CONTACTS YOU AND REQUESTS THAT YOU SEND THEM YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU RESPOND. Don't jeopardize your privacy and your baby by sending your address to people that you don't know, regardless of how innocent their request may seem.
