I also found dat if I press on or clean my nipples with cotton buds, at about 26 weeks, I wud see colostrum but it doesn't leak out. I had been told at my class that this could happen so don't be worried everyone, just be happy. Ur nursing days will soon be here.

FINALLY!! Thanks sly for sharing that you had colostrum in your first month .. about a week ago i noticed that if i pushed on my breast colostrum would come out ... but i didnt think i was pregant or should i say i didnt suspect i was , i had a baby nine months ago and knew it couldnt be left over breast milk , i wasnt able to breast feed my baby, so i knew that my milk dried up when he was about 2 months old .. i was soo worried that i was sick or something was wrong with me . and right now im just waitting to get the results from so blood work . but knowing that it is possible to have this happen very early on puts me at ease

I'm 23 weeks pregnant and started leaking today actually. I was so scared. I called my mom and told her and also added I didn't think it was suppose to come out until I gave birth and all she said was "the joys of pregnancy". So I am still worried about it so I looked it up. My man thought I could be going into early labor so that worried me even more and I read aloud what I read on these pages and links and all he said is that is so gross but thank heavens nothing is wrong it is somewhat in th "norm" as Sly says :)
Thanks!!! :))

It's ok sly & it is a normal phenomenon... my sister had also started leaking colostrum in her 2nd month of pregnancy , when i got pregnant i had'nt leak a single drop during my whole pregnancy. so the thing is different women have different situations in their pregnancy.

During my first pregnancy, I started leaking colostrum right in the first month.

Now I'm pregnant for the second time and have colostrum in my first month again.

I don't know anybody who might have (or might have had) the same thing happening to them. The only thing I know is that, it's not because you don't fall in the "norm" (what society calls "normal") that it ain't.

Normal/Norm only means that the majority of people have the same thing happening to them in the same manner.

You not falling in the "norm" doesn't mean it's not ok. Every person is different and if we would all have the same exact thing happening, life would be pretty boring. So embrace the difference and enjoy your pregnancy ;)
