Now I just found out yesterday I was pregnant exciting and scared the reason why I got pregnant last year in March 2011, and I miss carried very devastating. I ask OR can I conceive again they told me yes I nodded hoping for the best. The craziest thing is I was not thinking about it and just learn to live with that what we have 6 healthy kids so I started really getting into Zumba definitely changing my life style than boom I pregnant WOW maybe our 7th or 8th child. Far as living expenses we are getting by each day long we are together as a strong family. Just know I am being more mindful now that I did not do than being 23-30 years old this child/children will be our last just hope for us the best of bringing a beautiful baby/babies in the Strungys La Casa it is like a adventure WOW!!!!

Thank you as all the messages are encouraging. I am 36, 37 in May and trying for a baby with my partner of 7 years who is 34, He has no children but I have 2 boys 13 and 9 years old so the last time I was pregnant was 10 years ago but now I am getting older I am worrying that I maybe too old and it maybe a lot harder to conceive now but reading the above messages has given me more encouragement. Thank you

We already have a 14YOG and 12YOB and had been trying to conceive since April 2011 (by trying I mean- no BC whatsoever but not going nuts over it). At first I wasnt exactly on board with the idea but after it just wasnt happening, I was beginning to think I was infertile and I suddenly became increasingly dissapointed...but I just confirmed I am pregnant!!...Christmas Eve my big boo (as I call him) claimed this would be our Christmas gift. I took a home test on Christmas morning of course negative....but last week I took another ++++ plus I confirmed with the doctor ++++....I have not told anyone. I am 38 and am very concerned about the babys health first and foremost and secondly how my body will be able to handle this over the next few months. On the outside I depict a mid 20 YOW but in reality physical I am a woman nearing 40-WOW! I am sure he will be excited (it was his idea after all). I plan on telling him (my high school sweetheart and love of my life) and our mini ones next Tuesday (the day of my first pre-natal visit)- restaurant reservations already made! I am excited, scared and I can honestly say I have dozens of emotions. But we are both in good places in our careers, health wise we are well...if we did conceive on Christmas Eve (per the internet) we will have a new family member somewhere on or around September 15, 2012- wish us luck!!!!

I had my first child at 36 and my second child at 38 with no problems whatsoever. It was so easy, am even contemplating doing it again next year when I will be 40!

I am 37 with a 5 year old and myself and my husband have discovered I am 6 weeks pregnant! I thought my baby days were gone but apparently not. We are both very happy, my husband is looking forward to sleepless nights again! We were of the opinion of "if it happens it happens and if it doesn't it doesn't". I am still in shock to be honest but very pleased. I am already showing - don't think I can keep it a secret until my first scan like I did first time round....

Hi, I'm 38 years old and found out I'm 4 wks 5 days pregnant for my 6th child. Had my first child when I was 24 and my fifth at 35, like most women after 35 yr old I was concerned about the health of the baby. With my last pregnancy I opted not to do an amino, God has chosen me to have a baby at my age, I can handle whatever is given to me. Now that I'm closer to 40, I am a little scared. I have 5 kids, 15,11,9,5,3 then a new born in July 2012. It will be hard, but my kids are my life and would do anything for.
If your trying to conceive at an older age, good luck and hope you succeed. I've enjoyed being pregnant will all of my kids, had awesome deliveries, and I pray for the same with the 6th pregnancy.

Hi everyone, I am 37 years old, I have 5 children. I had my 1st when I was 24 my second when i was 29. my third when I was 31, my fourth when I was 34 and my 5th when I was 36, I have 1 boy who eas born 2nd and 4 girls, all healthy and born naturally, The only thing I found when I had my 5th is that the contractions etc were much more intense but I think this could come down to me having an under active thyroid. I also had a few misscarriages but this I have been told was due to the thyroid problem not being detected, well it had been detected but the docs missed the results and hence I wasnt treated, then found out when I felt really unwell. I find having 5 children not any harder than having 4, to be honest I found when I just had 1 child, mush harder, I find as I am getting older I have much more patience etc I was much more selfish when I was younger, I could have no way coped with the children at a young age, I think its better to have when you are in your 30's onwards if you are healthy etc. I am tormenting with the idea of trying to get pregnant again as I really would like to have a brother for my boy. Everything is up to god, DO NOT pe put off by other people saying your to old, Everything is up to Allah. I think sometimes they feel jealous that why cant they do it, probably they are to selfish about their own life to have a baby maybe. I wish you all The success in concieving and with your pregnancies. If you are trying for a baby, dont try every day as the mans sperm becomes weak, try every 2 to 3 days, this is what I was advised when I was trying for a baby and I never had a problem after that,

Not to scare or discourage any one. I am 40 yr. and gave birth to the most beautiful little girl a week ago. Sadly, she had Trisomy 13; we had no idea as we opted not to do the amnio. We lost her at 4 days old. With that said, my husband and I would not change a thing, except wishing she was a healthy little girl. I am so happy to read all the messages here because she made us realize that we do want another child!!!! As scared as we are, we plan on trying. We pray God blesses us with a healthy child. Nothing will replace our little Angel, but we have so much love to give.
