I totally agree! I want him next to me at night for as long as possible, everyone who says this is bad I just shrug it off because my need to sleep with the baby is greater than the “he’ll never sleep in his own bed you know” comments I get.
I doubt my baby boy will be damaged in any way just by sleeping in my bed so I can’t see a problem with it. I too will follow my child’s lead like I have done with everything else so far and he will sleep right next to his mummy until HE doesn’t want to any more. Then I’ll just have to deal with it, somehow.

Any one have tips on how to get a baby to sleep without holding them all the time? I literally can not get her to sleep unless someone is holding her all of the time. The minute we put her down, even in a deep sleep, she wakes up and cries. any suggestions?

i am also having a really hard time letting my daughter sleep alone. she is 2.5! she wants to sleep in her “big girl” bed, but i’m not comforatable with it. i’ve been trying though. my husband or i lay her down in her room, but shortly after i’m a sleep i just wake up freaking out! i go get her and put her in our bed. my husband loves our daughter and doesn’t mind it now-and-then, but having her sleep with us every night is really cutting into our time. i agree with you on so much you said. i feel like when she is sleeping with us i can protect her and comfort her. i really would love some advice. i NEED to let her sleep alone, for her benefit, and mine.
