I banked both of my kids cord blood at Cord Blood Registry. I feel it is a great insurance policy. People can save $250 by using code: MJENC. Good luck!

We went with a Viacord, they are financially stable (trade symbol PKI). They have more successful transplants than any other cord blood bank at over 190 and they have the highest disclosed survival rate for patients at 87%. They are also recommended by CHORI (the Children's Hospital of Oakland in California). CHORI actually sends their sick patients who need a translant today to Viacord because they know they will get a tranplant success for the patient. CHORI is the largest sibling to sibling transplant center in the country... thats what sold us! Good luck with your research

Make sure you ask the company how many sucessful transplants they have had and how many of their patients have survived. You cant messure a companys success withought knowing how many of thier treatments have helped the patient to survive!

you should all ask your doctors about Cord Blood Registering and your questions should be upfront and detailed in order for them to answer them appropriately.

DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THE NET, ask your docs for recommendations or friends/family whove been in this situation. Costs vary but will be in the low thousands with annual fees.
