Leg or calf cramps are the worst!! Its helpful if its cold to cover up to prevent them, but once they hit this helped me:
Move your foot/ankle with toes pointed towards as much as possible and rub your calf. Sometimes the cramp is so intense that you might need help from your partner moving your foot/toes pointed to you. A nice massage will help make the soreness go away after your cramp

Actually, THE best way to deal with leg cramps is to just... get out of bed. They disappear instantly.

Found this idea in What to Expect When You are Expecting and it worked through four pregnancies.
