According to my LMP, I am exactly 5 weeks pregnant today (3 weeks since conception). For the past few days, I have been experiencing moderate to severe cramping in my lower abdomen. Today, however, the cramping has increased and is associated with light to regular bleeding...not heavy but more like it would be during the middle of my period. I visited my dr. today and he took a blood test to see what my hCG level is. Last week, it was at 87. If it is still at 87 or lower, I am experiencing a miscarriage. If it has tripled in number since then, I am fine or at the very worst, may be experiencing a threatened miscarriage. With my first pregnancy, I experienced spotting throughout my first trimester and part of my second but never this cramping. I'm scared but trying to stay positive. I hope I'm still pregnant...I still feel pregnant...in fact, I feel more and more pregnant each day. We'll see. I'm nervous as all heck...

I started cramping the day before my missed period and have had cramps on and off since (9 days). They are pretty severe at times and seem to get worse at night. I feel somewhat relieved after looking at this website, but will be asking my doctor about it when I see him in a week.

I started cramping about a week after ovulation and it was almost constant and very minimal. I spotted once about 8 days after ovulation and then nothing until 5 days later. Since then I have been spotting on and off for the last 4 days with a my cramping getting a little more strong. I had my first positive pregnancy test two days ago, 14 days after ovulating. Tests before that were negative. I called my ob and they said spotting was normal and they didn't need to see me for almost 3 weeks until I'm closer to 7 weeks. I'm not sure that I mentioned on the phone that I've also had cramping and it intensified yesterday but I am afraid to call back this early. Any advice?

Hey Girls. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 6 months now. This will be my first pregnancy, so I really don't know how my body would react to actually being pregnant. I'm not supposed to start my period for another 6 days but lately I have been having dull cramps and a lot of lower back pains. My breasts are only moderatly sore- not too much more than normal. I want to test as soon as I can, but I'm also scared that it will just come out negative if I test too soon. Hubby and I have been married 3 years and I have wanted a baby ever since then. I can only cross my fingers that these may be signs that I'm pregnant! :)
Lots of luck to you TTC ladies and pregnant ladies too!

My husband and I are trying to conceive. I was 12 days late, which is unusual, when I woke up in the night with a cramp in my lower abdomen. Two hours later I started spotting and have been spotting for 2 days now, still feeling really dull, but heavy cramps. Is there anyone else who has a similar story?

Hey,
I have a syndrome called polycystic ovarian syndromw... for those who have not heard of it it is a disease that effects a womens ability to ovualte.. and much more but i am about 5 weeks pregnant, and i too have been having cramping not bad just annoying. With my first i never had that. so i am a little concerned but my doctor has told me numerous times that it is normal to have that because of the baby moving into the uterous, and water for me really does help as well as walking around.
As for the miscarriage with twins i have had 2sets of twins, my first set was a boy and a girl at 6 1/2 months pregnant i lost my girl... BUT my son was fine he is 4 1/2 today. 6months ago i miscarried had a dnc ... a week after my dnc i found i was still pregnant but not in a good way.. one baby had made it to the uterus and the other was stuck in my tube. It is VERY possible to have twins misscarry 1 and still have another for i have expierenced it two times. And for all the women with poly cystic my heart goes out to you all... i was onl diagnosed 2 years ago an didnt reaize all the effects it really has.. women with pcos have a high chance of misscarriage and chances of still born, But as my dr said you have to look at the brighter side if you dont you will never get better and your stress levels will rise. My advice to everyone.. even though the cramping can suck you have to think positivley, for you and your child. Positive attitude positive results., And anything is possible like i said i have pcos and only one ovary due to medical malpractice, And where there is a will there is a way, i found that out. please keep your ehads up! talk to people to reassure yourself but dont overwhelm yourself. Denise 23/Mi
