Callum Scott Kyle
First day at school
Callum was born October 28th 2002 at 21.09 hours (9.09pm) at Mayday university Hospital, Croydon, London, England. He was 8Ibs 6ozs in weight and measured 52cms long.
I started labour the early hours of 28th and it became painful but when we reached the hospital I was only 3cms and labour then stalled after Callum decided to go to sleep. they moved me back onto the ward and monitored later that day they said they were sending me home which upset me but one of the midwives wouldn't send me home before checking me again first! When she checked I was 5cms and she sent me straight down to the labour ward where at 7.25pm my waters were broken and i was launched into full scale labour! It was an awful labour with one continous contraction which lasted until he was born at 9.09pm.
When Callum was born he was blue because once he did start to come out it had all happened a little quick for him! but a small stint under the light and he was fine. We were allowed home the next evening.

Callum is a wonderful if tempermental and mischievious little boy! his birthday is in October and he will be 6 years old!
Callum used to attend COPG with his brother Cameron, he had a little help with his speech and lang which has helped a great deal as he doesn't shut up now ! lol.... anyway he had a lovely key worker called Cathy who he misses very much.
Callum started Castle Hill School on the 18th September and seems to be liking it at the moment, he like his teacher.
Also Callum is now officially a big big brother to not only Cameron but to his new brother Kieron who was born 10th September 2007, Callum takes his big brother duties seriously!
Callum had to have an operation at the end of 2004 to have a dermoid cyst removed from his left eyebrow, It was awful waiting to hear from them to go and see him in recovery it seemed to take an eternity! when we finally arrived he was sobbing but after a little cuddle and a drink he amazed everyone in the recovery room by giggling and trying to beat dad up! They had never seen such a recovery before and certainly they dont hear much giggling going on in there!
He also had another dermoid cyst removed in September 2005 This time from his right eyebrow. He reacted a little differently this time when I arrived at recovery he was being held down by three nurses and they were having trouble holding him down. It took about half an hour for the side affect of the anesectic to wear off then he was fine.
