05/29/09- Fiona had her first dance recital Fri May 22nd and she was great! A deaf child taking dance classes and doing good!!! She LOVES dance, she LOVES the fluffy dresses, the glitter, all the pink and the music! she loves it all - so she will go on next year with more dance classes :) Most of all she still loves SHOES :) she will try any shoes that she finds (yuck!!) and even better if they are high heels - She is going thru the stage that she loves to wear dresses (she always had) but now she has to wear shorts of pants under them so 'nobody can see my underwear' :) . She loves to impersonate Hannah Montana - but sings her own songs (mostly made up stuff mixed in with gibberish :) )
Her verbal progress is in a steady progress and she is even getting better in Spanish (although not as good as big brother yet).
She is feisty (just like a pixy)but very loving (when she wants to of course) - stubborn and determined - all that and more :)
09/04/08- I started taking dance classes, and I LOVE it! There are about 10 girls in my class and we all wear pretty pink dance clothes and wear special shoes too! I get to twirl around and hop and skip too! And I even pay attention! (well, most of the time, good enough to fool mami :) )
We are doing our March for babies this coming Friday! Don't forget to donate :)
Oh yeah, did I mention that Fiona FINALLY reached 30 lbs?? YEAYYY!!!!!! It was about time :) Had to take Sebastian to the doctor last week (last week in August) and since we were there we got Fiona weighed - and yes! she's 30.2 lbs !!!! HOORAAYYYY
No need to tell you that Fiona still LOVES shoes, and purses, and 'lips' (lipstick) and 'eyes' (eyeliner or mascara), and 'nails' (nail polish) and dresses and skirts (all to which she refers to as 'pretties'). She often tells me that she 'needs lips', or she 'needs purple nails' :). But she loves to wrestle on the ground with papi and Seba and loves to boss boys around :) what a future!
05/27/08- we had a great time in Solomon's Island with grandma, grandpa and our cousin Logan :) I got to boss two boys around instead of good ol' Seby :) - and I kept them inline too - I was a big help for mami :)
04/24/08- we visited Uruguay and threw Iaia a surprise birthday party - she turned 70 and boy was she surprised :) -
We had a blast in Uruguay, visited the hot springs, the park a lot, hang out with new friends and visited Montevideo for a bit.
In the way back from Uruguay we stayed a couple of days in Daytona Beach Florida, it was a bit chilly but we loved it! Had a blast just by chasing the seagulls :) - back home we got a surprise too, we have now a trampolin - which Seby and I love
and jump constantly - and mami loves to see how tired we get from the 'play' :)
My speech is improving a lot,and FINALLY I'm potty trained :) (I still have a few accidents here and there but there are no more pull-ups in the house :) yeahhhh!!!!
1/22/08- well, I had the 3 year old check-up and yeap I'm way in the charts now ( 38 1/4 " 75%, 28lbs 20%) but still under 30 lbs, so now booster seat yet :( and I so want one like my brother.... he has cup-holders and all...
Potty training is being a bit of a challenge... I know what, how and when to do it, I just have to WANT to do it, cause when I'm busy why should I trouble with going to the bathroom? and if you know me, I'm always busy, I am always into something or another... oh yeah, and if I have nothing to do I'll go smack my brother and come tell that 'Seby hit me' so I can get him in
trouble :)
My attention span is still very short, too short for most of my needs, so we are 'working' on expanding it, but my mami says it's really really hard to do :) - She even thinks that I might
have a slight behavioral problem due to the short attention span... they are gonna keep an eye on that to see if I can 'grow out of it' :)
No need to tell you that there are TONS of picts of our trip in the photo album, so go grab a cup of coffee and relax, look at us :)
02/20/07- My Second FREEDOM is on
01/22/07- I got my second FREEDOM (left side) today.
11/30/05- My FREEDOM is now ON
10/31/05- I got my FREEDOM (Cochlear Implant, right ear) in today
2/2/05- Fiona came home today :) She is doing great, trying to survive the 'big brother' love that Seba tries to give her :) Bye Bye NICU :)
