Well...can you believe Halloween is already over. Don't blink because next thing you know it will be Thanksgiving then Christmas.

We've enjoyed several camping trips over the last few months and I've included a picture of our new camper (our home away from home). We've found several good locations for camping and plan to spend Thanksgiving roughing in the great outdoors. We will be deep frying a turkey to get us in the spirit and hoping for good weather. The kids especially like smores -- even if they just want the chocolate.

Jacob is now 6 years old. Unfortunately, he was sick with the H1N1 flu on his birthday. We celebrated with a small cake at home and took him camping once he got better. The flu turned into pneumonia for him but luckily we caught it when it first started and he was back to normal in no time. We will be having a party for Daddy and him over the next week or so. He's excited to share a birthday party with Daddy. He's enjoying school and actually told me tonight that he likes all his teachers which is a good thing. We'll be getting his first report card soon but at Parent-Teacher conferences we were told he is doing well. He has also started his second season of soccer.

Hannah also was sick with the H1N1 flu right around Jacob's birthday. Luckily hers did not turn to anything worse. She is loving school and learning so much with letter sounds. She loves story books and enjoys coloring. She is also a big fan of Spiderman and Ironman. She has been practicing at Jacob's soccer practice so that she can get ready to play in the Spring.

Halloween was a blast this year. After getting soccer pictures taken and then playing a soccer game, we headed out for a bike ride. We carved a pumpkin and then went to a neighborhood party prior to trick or treating. After getting their buckets filled with candy, we went to a haunted house in our neighborhood. It was fun for the kids because they let the kids scare the monsters instead of the monsters scaring them. Jacob was Darth Vader (but he wouldn't wear the mask) and Hannah was Spiderman girl.

We hope everyone is enjoying their Fall and had a great Halloween. Looking forward to Christmas which will be here before we know it.
