Such a little cutie!
I found out that I was pregnant on October 23rd 2007 at 6 weeks 1 day along. We were both in complete shock but was super excited about our little bundle of joy that was due to arrive June 16th 2008. We found out that he was a boy on Jan. 24th 2008 at 19 weeks 3 days. As the weeks went on my belly kept getting bigger and my uterus kept measuring ahead larger and larger each time I went to the doctor. By the time I got to 35 weeks pregnant my uterus was measuring at 40. An ultrasound was scheduled to check his growth at 37 weeks 3 days. He was an estimated 9 lbs 12 ozs at that time. And at 39 weeks my uterus measured at 50. I had no idea that it could measure so large but sure enough it did! My doctor and I discussed having a scheduled c-section due to him measuring larger and my pelvic bone being low and we didn't want to risk our little booger getting stuck and something fatal happening to him. My c-section was scheduled for June 13th 2008 origianlly and got switched to June 12th at 12:30 PM. I arrived at the hospital at 10:00 AM and sat in pre-op for 2 hours waiting. I started to get more and more nervous as the time was appoaching. 12:00 came and I was wheeled into the OR. I was sitting on the OR table getting my spinal block put in which took them 3 trys to get it in there. They had to go up another lumbar. I was in tears and in so much pain just from the spinal. They finally got everything in place and laid me down on the table and my fiance' Brandon came in. We were ready to get started. It felt like a life time but at 1:16 PM Jackson Riley Dodd was born. He was 11 lbs 4 ozs and you better believe that I was glad that I had a c-section and that I didn't let anybody talk me out of having one like they tried!! That was the best day in my life getting to hold my beautiful (heavy) son! :)
