Now that I'm 3, I can do so many new things. Mommy and daddy tell me what a great big brother I am to Alex, my "wubba". I guess that means I have a knack for making him laugh. Let's see, I can cast a fishing line... a real one too...not one of those 'baby' fishing poles (that makes daddy so proud)! I can drive a go-cart... well, that is still in the making...I only crashed once into hammock...all the more reason for me to wear my goggles and helmet!!! I really need to start learning to ride a bike...haven't really ventured into that yet...but I can run so much better now and I'm getting more adventurous with climbing. And in the fall, I will go to preschool. I can't wait to meet new friends and learn all kinds of things.
I wear big boy underwear too! Woo hoo! I like to flash mommy my buns (she calls it my 'squishy tushy' but she reminds me that that part of my body (as well as others) are private and I need to keep them to myself...I think she's afraid of the possibilities of 'what could happen' at school. I'll keep her on the edge of her seat for that...haha...
I can swim like a fish and I love to go underwater. Maybe by the end of the summer I won't need my swimmies anymore. I love to help mom and dad with everything...like weeding, mowing, sweeping, mopping,'quick clean-up', you get the picture.
Now that I'm big, I let mommy and daddy know that I want to be just like them...after all. I like to use big forks and spoons...and no more "baby" dishes... I like to drink from small glasses (yes, real glass)... it's sometimes hard being 3 with all of the expectations of being "big" yet frequently I'm still told "no" or "you're too little" or "not big enough"...gees...I don't quite get this whole concept.
Some of my favorite things to do: I love to play with friends and cousins; I love my books, toys (motorcycles, monster trucks, Cars, etc.), and playing in the dirt. I love water play, whether it's stomping in pubbles, or splashing in the pool (or tub). I like to color, draw and play with play-doh. I love to tell and make-up stories. Sometimes I mix them together and mommy and daddy get all confused...that just makes it more interesting! When I'm tired, I love to watch my favorite shows like "Big Foot Presents..." and "Carebears"... yes, I still love my carebear :o) Most of all, I love playing with Alexander! I can really make him laugh...more than mommy or daddy. I love when he comes in to wake me up in the morning...he's so snuggly. I can't wait 'til he can sleep next to me. Mommy said he's still too little and he'd fall out of the bed.
