On the 27th of November I went into the doctors for my doctor appointment. He went ahead and checked my cervix and I was dilated to about 3-4cm and I was 50% effaced. He told me that if I were to have any contractions, at least 3 within an hour that Iwas to go into labor and delivery. Well I had already been having contractions through out the whole day and everything. Well hubby dropped the kids and I off at home and he got ready for school and headed out of here. So around 5pm I started having more and more contractions, but wasn't sure if I should call him home from school or if I should wait for him to get home from school. Well I finially decided that I was going to call him home from school, so that is what I did. Around 9pm we got to the hospital and they get me in the room and get me checked out and said that I was a good 4cm dilated almost 5 cm. So they told me to go and walk around for about an hour to 2 hours and come back to be checked out. So that is what we did. We walked around the whole entire hospital and while walking I started having some really bad contractions, but I kept myself walking through them, which trust me, was not easy either. So we finally went back and got checked out and I was finally dilated to 5cm!!! So they went ahead and admitted me, put me on some medication to get my contractions going stronger. Finally the contractions started getting stronger and stronger. I finally got my epidural and was able to relax. I was stuck at 5cm for the longest time as well!!! My water had broke too while I was going to the bathroom so they were confused as to why I was stuck at 5cm!! Finally at 12:45pm the doctor came in to check me and I was dilated to about 7-8cm. He had them up the amount of potossium that they were giving me to get the contractions still going to try and get me dilating more. Well while he was checking all of a sudden there was another gush of water!!!! The doctor said that it was called the forebag (never heard of that before though). So after he left the room it was 15 mins later and I was laying bed and I was telling Neil that I could now feel the contractions and I can feel pressure between my legs like really bad!!! So I waited for atleast 2 of the contractions and then I finally called the nurse into the room. The doctor came in and checked me out and he said that I was 10cm dilated and 100% effaced. So he said that he would be right back he was going to go and get the things that he needed and it would be time to deliver. Well Aidan wasn't waiting. I knew that I had to push, but man oh man I was holding back from it. The nurse asked me if I needed to push and I told her yes, so she said on the next contraction let's just go ahead and push, so that is what I did. I barely pushed and he was already crowning!!!! So she told me to stop pushing and started yelling to get a doctor in the room now!!!! My OB doctor came running into the room (not realizing that it was us lol) telling us who he was and that he was going to be delivering our baby (all while he was throwing on his gloves lol) then hubby said hi to him and when he looked up he realized that it was us lol so he told me to go ahead and push, I started to push and I only got 1 second in for pushing and he told me to stop!!! I thought that I was going to scream because I had to push so bad!!!! But Aidan ended up having his embilical cord wrapped around his neck!!! So then the doctor told me to go ahead and push again, only pushed for 2 seconds and he was out!!! I was in labor for about 20 hours with him!!! And it took me only 3 seconds, yes you are reading that right 3 SECONDS, to push Aidan out!!! He was born on November 28th, 2007 at 1:11pm. He weighed 6lbs 11oz and was 19 1/2 inches long!!!

We had a doctor’s appointment today and everything is looking great!!! I am already dilated to 3-4cm and I am 50% effaced!!! The doctor told us that if I start having contractions and I have 3 or more within an hour that we are to go to the hospital. Well later that night we ended up heading to the hospital and I was dilated to 4cm. They had me walk around the hospital for 1-2 hours. When I got back to have them check me out, I was dilated to 5cm and I got admitted into the hospital!!!! He will be here soon!!!

Aidan William Viertel arrived today at 1311 (1:11pm) weighing 6lbs 11oz and was 19 ½ inches long!! He is so beautiful!!! I can’t believe our baby boy is here!!! Took me only 3 seconds to push him out!!!

We got to go home from the hospital today!! It is so great to finally be home!!!
**December 1st, 2007**
We took Aidan in for his check up and he had to be admitted into the hospital. He weighed 6lbs 1oz. His bili level from his jaundice is 21.75 so he has to go in and have phototherapy done. I hope that he only has to stay in over night. I am staying the night with him at the hospital tonight.

Aidan took very well to the phototherapy and he gets to come home tonight!!! I am so happy about that!!!
