Detailed Instructions for installing Baby Progress

1. Click on the link (the underlined text) that says babyprg.exe



2. A box may pop up on your screen that has two options: 'Save To Disk' or 'Open'.  Choose 'Save To Disk' and hit OK.  Another box will pop up asking you where you want to save the file.  Choose a directory somewhere on your computer.  Personally, I have a directory on my hard drive called 'Temp' to which I download everything.  The box that pops up to ask you about saving the file will allow you to create a directory.  The third icon from the right means 'Create New Directory'.  You can use that to create a 'Temp' directory.
   
   
3. Once you have chosen where you want to save the file, click 'Save'.
   
   
4. The file will download to that directory.  It may take a couple of minutes.
   
   
5. Open 'Windows Explorer', which is under 'Programs' on the 'Start' menu. The 'Start' menu is usually on the bottom left hand side of your screen.
   
   
6. Using 'Windows Explorer', go to the directory where you saved your file.  Double click on 'babyprg.exe'.  A box will open asking which directory you want to extract the program files to.  The default directory 'C:\BABYPROG' is displayed.  If you want to install it somewhere else, type in a new directory name.
   
   
7. Press 'Unzip'
   
   
8. The files will be uncompressed into the directory you chose, and the Baby Progress program will be started.  From now on, whenever you want to start the program, use Windows Explorer to go into the directory into which you extracted the files and double click on 'babyprog.exe'
