What's New For InfantsYour baby is continues to be extremely busy as he perfects skills he has already learned and practices new skills that he is quickly mastering. In a short time your baby will be a toddler and he will be running around the house. Not only are they craving the physical advancements, but they are also craving the verbal advancements. Make sure you continue to talk to your baby in clear tones so that they learn the different vowel and consonant combinations. If you show your baby something and tell him what it is repeatedly, he will probably be able to remember it and point to it at a later time. Article Continues Below
Developmental Milestones*
Once your baby has mastered "cruising" you might look up to see him suddenly standing on his own. This is the next preamble to him taking his first big step. More than likely he will let go, get nervous when you see him, wobble and grab hold again very quickly. As time goes on he will get braver and will stand on his own for longer periods of time. What Might Concern You at 31 WeeksThere are some babies that will not be crawling yet. While this is sure to concern those parents, it does not necessarily mean that there is something wrong with the babies' physical development. First you have to remember to never compare your baby with your friends, or neighbors. All babies are different and reach milestones at different times. The actual average for babies to start crawling is nine months. There are some babies who never crawl! Don't get discouraged, but if you are really concerned, make sure you talk to your pediatrician. This time last year...You were 19 Weeks Pregnant! Can you believe it? Time flies too fast! Be sure you start chronicling these infant memories now by creating your free baby journal today! |
