Your Baby Week 33

Don't forget to adjust your baby's crib! As your baby becomes more active and adventurous, having a crib that is raised up high can be dangerous for your baby. At some point your baby may decide to try to climb over the crib rails, and you can make this more difficult for him if you lower the mattress.

Also, it might be a good idea to remove the bumpers as your baby might choose to use them as a step to get a bit higher on the railing. Remember to keep any big toys and pillows out of the crib. You should also remove any hanging mobiles you have hanging now.

When your baby can pull up, he will likely use the top of his crib as a teething toy. If your crib did not come with it already, you can buy plastic crib rail protectors that will both protect your crib and make it a more pleasant experience for your infant.

Week 33 Milestones

No, no, no! You have probably been repeating this throughout the day for several weeks now. Because of that, your baby is starting to learn the word and he knows that he isn't supposed to do whatever he is doing when you say it. However, remember that doesn't mean he will always comply!

What Might Concern You at 33 Weeks

concerned

With your baby being so active now, he is bound to get dirty. The ground is dirty, whether you are in your home, your yard, or at the park. Make sure you keep a large supply of "play clothes" on hand, even at this young age, so that if your infant gets them dirty, it won't be that upsetting.

Don't worry about your baby getting a little dirty, as long as he isn't sitting there trying to eat a handful of dirt. The play and exploration helps your baby learn more about the world around him, including textures and color. This outdoor playtime is actually helps all of your babies senses.
