What's New For InfantsHow much is too much? Some babies are on the go so much that parents begin to worry that their baby is too active and that it will lead to future hyperactivity problems. But is there such a thing as a baby being too active? Remember that every day and every move your baby makes is a learning tool for your baby. What you perceive as overly active is more than likely the norm for a baby of this age. Your baby has been stuck and unable to go where he wanted when he wanted, for so long now, that this newfound freedom has kept him going overtime. It is too early for a parent to worry about problems such as ADD and ADHD. Just let your baby have fun, and enjoy him while he discovers the world around him. Article Continues Below
Developmental Milestones*If your baby still has not started walking, don't worry about it too much. Remember that all milestones are reached by babies at different times. Some babies may not start walking until 15 months, and that is as normal as babies who start walking at nine months. If you really think there is a problem with your child's development, be sure to call your pediatrician.
What Might Concern You at 46 WeeksDoes your baby see you naked? If so, there is no need to be concerned. At this age your baby doesn't know what nudity is, nor will they remember what they have seen. This is true for kids through the toddler years. However by the time your child could go to preschool, the opinions on this change. While most experts believe that a child seeing a parent of the same sex undressed is ok, they believe that a child seeing a parent of the opposite sex undressed should be avoided. Be prepared for your baby to be curious however if you do walk around in your birthday suit. While they won't think anything of it, they might want to "play" with what they see there.
