Now that you are a parent you might find it harder to shop for friends and relatives throughout the year whether there is a birthday coming up, or the busy holiday season. Maybe after your first baby it was still easy, but now that you are on baby two, three or more you are finding it hard to simply find time for yourself, much less time to shop for others. Unfortunately, just because you don't have time, it doesn't mean that the holidays will wait. That brings up the question, how do you spend the least amount of time and get the most quality out of your gift purchases once you have little ones at home you are taking care of?
Pictures
Photographs of your child, your children, or your whole family are great gifts for family and friends. Many members of the family, like grandparents, will be happy with ONLY receiving a picture of their grandkids. You can buy inexpensive picture packages at places like Sears and Target, or take your own pictures and go to Clark Photos to print out the quantity and sizes that you want.

Expanding a bit on the "photography" theme you can have items made to give as gifts with your favorite picture on them. Family members will love a calendar that has a new picture of their grandchild, niece or nephew on it every time they turn the page. Question
I’m pregnant and trying to do everything I can now to
get ready for my baby. Can you tell me what I need to
know about diaper bags? What should I buy, and what
should I put in it?
Learn about it
I’ve gone through about ten diaper bags in the last
fifteen years. One thing I noticed is that with each
baby my diaper bag has gotten smaller! With my first
baby I was ready for anything; I put everything
imaginable into my diaper bag and lugged it all from
place to place. I also continued to carry a purse, so
by the time I added coats and a baby, I needed a
U-Haul just to get from the house to the car! By now,
I’ve reached baby number four and my diaper bag is ten
inches by nine inches – and it even contains my wallet
and cell phone! So, to save you a few years, and an
aching back, I’ll share what I’ve learned about this
ever-present baby necessity.
What kind of diaper bag should I buy?
Diaper bags have come a long way over the years. Many
today are stylish carry-everything bags with compartments
for all your belongings. While there are an endless
assortment of choices, but there are similarities between
bags, so here are the basic styles...

7. Child Safety Tip - Cutting Your Baby's Fingernails

Cutting your baby's fingernails can be a nerve-wracking,
daunting task. It often seems that as soon as you cut them
they need cutting again and normally you have to fight with
a wiggling baby in order to get that little bitty nail. New
parents often find themselves dumb founded when it comes to
knowing HOW they are going to get their newborns nails cut.
Pick Your Time
The best time to cut your baby's nails is when he is most calm.
Many people suggest doing it while your baby is in a deep sleep
because they will hopefully not move. Sometimes however a baby
will wake up or flex making it a close call with the clippers.
Others attempt to cut their babies nails while they are
distracted, for instance when they are nursing. If your baby
is intent on eating his meal, he may not care so much that
you are playing with his hand. Your baby's already soft nails
will be softest right after a bath, so cutting them during a
nursing session after their bath, before bed may work for some.
Pick Your Tool
There are many different items you can use to cut your baby's
nails. There are small clippers that were invented just for
your baby; there are also small, round-tipped scissors that
were created to easily cut a baby's nails. You can even use a
file to file down your baby's nails. It is really an issue of
trial and error. You try out each option and figure out which
one works best for you and your baby.

8. This Month's Baby Horoscope ~ Capricorn

Happy Birthday Capricorn! (December 22 - January 19)
The Capricorn baby has a plan from day one and will definitely stick to it! A bit on the serious side, this
is a child who is disciplined, methodical, and highly organized to boot. Is this really a child?! Well, yes and no.
Not adventurously inclined, the Capricorn baby almost seems dull, but they are simply taking time with things,
learning lessons slowly, so as to learn them well. This child enjoys feeling important from an early age, so
don't hesitate to give them responsibilities. The Cap baby is up to the task!
They also understand things better as they get older and appreciate the merits of a reward system.
Good deeds are repaid in kind! This babe will rejoice and will happily live with that precept in mind.
When it comes to learning, the Cap baby shouldn't be rushed, preferring to follow their own pace of
discovery. Early lessons will be of the organizational kind which is how this tot's mind operates.
Organizing the play group will be play indeed.
As with everything, the Cap baby will be hyper-focused and determined. Even speaking will be
undertaken with great effort and diligence, leading many Cap babies to bypass babbling and go straight to chatter!
To sum up, the Capricorn baby prefers to play it safe, enjoying the efforts of a job well done.
